After working as a research lawyer at the Texas District Criminal Court, Ian Inglis started to put the law into practice in 1981. He specializes in the defense of crime cases and is certified as an officer of the Penal Code. He has dealt with all kinds of criminal cases while he was working. This area includes the Criminal Code, the Texas Legal Department (1987), and was recertified in 1992, 1997, 2002, and 2007.
