Don Harrington Discovery Center kicks off its ‘Eggtastic’ Day Camp
The Discovery Center will host its ‘Eggtastic’ Day Camp this Friday and Monday, April 1, for ages 3 through fourth grade. The Don Harrington Discovery Center in Texas will host its 'Eggtastic' Day Camp for ages 3 through 4th grade on Friday and Monday, April 1. The camp will offer a half-hour half-day option for campers from 3 to 5 years of age, with a full day option for older campers. The Discovery Center came up with the idea of Day Camps due to a shortage in day-of childcare. For non-members, the half day camp costs $25 per child and members price $20 per child. The full day camp will cost $50 per child for non-member and $40 for members per child, depending on the length of the day.

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Discovery Center will host its ‘Eggtastic’ Day Camp this Friday and Monday, April 1, for ages 3 through fourth grade.
The day camp will have a half day option for campers from 3 to 5 years of age and a full day option for the older campers. The half day will be from 9 a.m. to noon, with the full day being from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This will include an aftercare option for guardians who need to pick up or drop off their child at a later or earlier time.
The Discovery Center came up with the idea of Day Camps because they noticed a demand in day-of childcare.
“We noticed a large gap in our community for day-of childcare, for when AISD is out of school where we could provide an option for parents to send their kids for a full day of super fun activities, but also learning, education and getting away from the screens,” said Ady Brady, communication director.
For non-members, the half day camp is $25 per child and members price being $20 per child. The full day camp is $50 per child for non-members and $40 for members per child.
