Travis County Parks opens bookings for 1-day passes during total solar eclipse

The reservations opened at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 11. It is free to make a reservation, but park visitors will need to pay park day use fees in cash when they arrive. All reservations are required for one vehicle and up to eight guests, and each vehicle entering the park must have a reservation. All overnight camping spots at Arkansas and Pace Bend Park are already full. Pet visitors are not recommended for this event, but visitors with pets must keep them on a leash and stay with them at all times.

TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas — Now is the time to reserve your spot to watch the April 8 total solar eclipse at a Travis County park!
Travis County Parks announced that day-use reservations will be required for April 8 at Arkansas Bend Park in Lago Vista, Pace Bend Park in Spicewood and Reimers Ranch Park in Dripping Springs. Those reservations opened at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 11.
It's free to make a reservation, but park visitors will need to pay park day-use fees in cash when they arrive on April 8. Travis County parks don't accept credit cards or checks.
Travis County Parks said reservations are required for one vehicle and up to eight guests. Every vehicle entering one of the three parks on April 8 must have a reservation, and each vehicle must fit in a standard parking spot. Visitors must bring their reservation conservation email with them on April 8. Selling a reservation to someone else could result in that reservation's cancelation.
Arkansas Bend Park, Pace Bend Park and Reimers Ranch Park will close once capacity has been met. Other Travis County parks won't require day-use reservations and will be first come, first served. Those parks will also close once capacity has been reached.
All overnight camping spots at Arkansas Bend Park and Pace Bend Park and day-visit spots for Hamilton Pool Reserve and Reimers Ranch are already full for April 8. Day-use reservations at Arkansas Bend and Pace Bend are still available as of March 27.
Travis County Parks encourages all who plan to visit on April 8 have a full tank of gas, arrive early (even with a reservation) and bring enough water and snacks. Traffic around all the county's parks and the surrounding areas is expected to be extremely heavy before and after the eclipse.
Pets are not recommended for this event, but visitors who bring pets must keep them on a leash and must stay with them at all times.
