The motorcycle crossed into the oncoming traffic lane and struck the vehicle, causing it to cross onto the other side. The motorbikeist was transported to the hospital where he later died. The driver of the vehicle was not impaired and the crash is being investigated as Austin's 34th fatal crash of the year.

Police say the motorcycle crossed into the oncoming traffic lane and struck the vehicle.

The motorcyclist, later identified as William Heinz-Phillip Fountain, 27, was transported to the hospital where he later died.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and was not impaired.
The crash is being investigated as Austin's 34th fatal crash of the year.
The investigation is still pending.
