Police identified the 27-year-old who was killed in a crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle over the weekend in southeast Austin.

It happened on Saturday, June 8 at around 9:24 p.m. in the 4600 block of Teri Road near East Stassney Lane.

Police say the motorcycle crossed into the oncoming traffic lane and struck the vehicle.

The motorcyclist, later identified as William Heinz-Phillip Fountain, 27, was transported to the hospital where he later died.

The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and was not impaired.

The crash is being investigated as Austin's 34th fatal crash of the year.

The investigation is still pending.
