Body of missing swimmer found in Colorado River near Bastrop
Bastrop County emergency officials say the body of a missing swimmer has been recovered Tuesday morning.The Bastrop County Emergency Services District No. 2 sai Bastrop County emergency officials have recovered the body of a missing swimmer from the Colorado River near Bastrop, Texas. The man had been swimming with friends when he did not resurface after going underwater. The Bastrop County Fire Department, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and Lower Colorado River Authority Rangers were unsuccessful in the search. The body was recovered about a half mile downstream of where he disappeared. An autopsy will be conducted.

Bastrop County emergency officials say the body of a missing swimmer has been recovered Tuesday morning.
The Bastrop County Emergency Services District No. 2 said they received a call Monday at around 7:43 p.m. about a man swimming in the Colorado River near the Tahitian Village boat ramp with friends and did not resurface after going underwater.
The Bastrop County Fire Department, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and Lower Colorado River Authority Rangers responded and searched for the man but were unsuccessful.
The search resumed Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. and the man's body was recovered at 8:40 a.m. about a half mile downstream of where he disappeared.
Officials say an autopsy will be conducted.
