The Austin Police Department said it was searching for a man in connection with a hit-and-run in north Austin. The Austin Police Department (APD) is searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run in north Austin. The incident occurred on Jan. 17 in the 15000 block of FM 1825 Road. The driver, a Hispanic man between 20 and 30 years old, left the scene of a crash without providing any information. The vehicle was described as a 2015 white 4-door Chevrolet Malibu. Anyone with information about the driver or vehicle can contact APD at 512-974-5017 or anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program. A reward of up to $1,000 may be offered for any information leading to an arrest.

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department said it was searching for a man in connection with a hit-and-run in north Austin.

According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 6:32 p.m. Jan. 17 in the 15000 block of FM 1825 Road.

APD said the driver left the scene of a crash and did not provide the required information.

“Although no injuries were reported, the crash resulted with damage to the victim’s vehicle,” APD said.

The driver was described as a Hispanic man between 20 and 30 years old, and the vehicle was described as a 2015 white 4-door Chevrolet Malibu.

Anyone with information about the driver or vehicle was asked to contact APD at 512-974-5017. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477.

A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.
