ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington men's basketball (8-4, 0-0 WAC) senior guard Marcell McCreary was named Western Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Week following University of Texas Arlington senior guard, Michael McCreary, has been named Western Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Week following a strong performance in a recent game against Oral Roberts. This is the first WAC weekly honor for McCrery and the Mavericks this season. The team is set to begin their season with a game against Tarleton State at 7 p.m.
