Hendrix pushed in rematch
CONWAY -- Hendrix received a pair of surprises last week against Austin (Texas) College. Hendrix (Warriors) won 42-32 over Austin (Texas) College in a rematch, despite being outplayed by the teams in their first meeting on Sept. 25. Hendrix's Coach Buck Buchanan acknowledged that Austin's offense has improved and their quarterback played well. The Warriors ran for a season-high 281 yards and had two 100-yard running backs for the first time in the history of the college. Despite being outgained 517-266 when the teams met last month, Austin generated 468 yards last week and never fought back, despite facing a 21-0 deficit in the second quarter. Despite Hendrix drawing 11 flags for 101 yards, these were the most it's had in a game this season.
